Founded in 1958 by Jorge Vides, the Finca La Bolsa coffee plantation has made notable strides as a distinguished coffee grower in the Huehuetenango region. Growing in a region revered worldwide for it’s complex and bright coffees, Finca La Bolsa produces a beautiful washed offering with delicious peach, floral and citrusy flavor. Beyond the coffee, Finca La Bolsa is notable for its strides in caring for its workers, featuring its own school authorised by Guatemala’s ministry of education. In 2012, Finca la Bolsa opened the doors to Association Coffee Care to make a project that seeks to reduce child labor and improve quality of life for coffee pickers and their families through day care centers and vocational workshops for children between 2-14 years old.
