Estaban Madrid Chávez previously won the Honduran Cup of Excellence in 2008. He began growing coffee at his El Sauce farm in 1985 alongside his wife and six children. El Sauce now employs over 50 individuals from the Santa Barbara municipality. This particular segmented microlot utilizes a Pacas cultivar. Balanced overall, we detect nectarine, plum and very rich, chocolate-forward flavor notes.
Despite its prevalence, we have never carried a Honduran coffee before this holding. Silky, enveloping and bursting in flavor, we’re kind of sad that it’s only here for a limited time!
We Taste: rich chocolate, nectarine, plum
